Last updated: 10 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jarra HQ ("we", "us", or "our") handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, use our vendor dashboard, or interact with a storefront powered by our platform.
1. Who we are
Jarra HQ provides software that helps businesses sell online, accept payments, manage orders and bookings, and operate branded storefronts. We act as a data controller for platform account data and as a processor for certain customer data handled on behalf of vendors.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name, and login credentials when you register or manage a vendor account.
- Business and storefront data: menus, products, services, branding, opening hours, delivery settings, and other content you add to your storefront.
- Order and booking data: customer names, contact details, delivery or pickup information, order history, booking requests, and payment references.
- Payment information: transaction references and payment status from Paystack or bank transfer workflows. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and cookies or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and improve the service.
- Communications: messages you send through contact forms, support requests, or email correspondence with us.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the platform and vendor dashboards.
- Process orders, bookings, subscriptions, payouts, and related notifications.
- Send transactional emails such as order confirmations, account alerts, and service updates.
- Respond to support requests and contact form submissions.
- Improve security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. Vendor storefronts
When a customer places an order or booking on a vendor storefront, that vendor is responsible for how customer data is used for fulfillment, customer service, and marketing, subject to applicable law. Vendors should publish their own privacy notices where required.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- Payment providers such as Paystack to process payments and verify transactions.
- Service providers that help us host, email, secure, or support the platform, under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Vendors may request deletion of account data subject to legal retention limits.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use strong passwords and keep account credentials confidential.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, contact us at info@jarrahq.com.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if cookies are disabled.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards where required.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
